Myofascial Release Massage Therapy

This type of massage allows you to relieve any type of muscle pain, including in areas that are not related to the back.

Massage Therapy works with soft tissue and the overall system of muscles in the body to relieve stress and tension. Involves steady movement, like kneading and stroking, on the muscles to bring relief; Myofascial Release consists of search for painful fibrous knots in the muscles and connective tissue and   uses sustained pressure to stretch and lengthen the fascia.

Myofascial massage takes its name from the “myo” which derives from muscle and “fascial” from fascia.

It is a manual therapy technique that does work on the muscles and specialy between the muscles, on the fascial that covers them; it draws its origins from Andrew Taylor Still’s osteopathy, the therapy based on manual contact for diagnosis and treatment, the first that highlighted the importance of fascia understood as the connective tissue that covers the organism in subcutaneous level.

While requiring great precision and good knowledge of anatomy from the therapist, the myofascial massage can be modulated according to the recipient’s needs.

The massage may initially seem painful, but it is usually combined with other massage techniques to reduce pain and give sensation of well-being of the person.

Effects after the session

Following the deep action on the body produced by the myofascial massage, there are people who experience immediate well-being consisting of increased freedom of movement and a feeling of lightness and others who, on the other hand, experience profound fatigue; for these the benefits are only postponed.

The technique is able to improve both posture and the fluidity of movements over time and consequently the quality of daily and/or sport active life.

A cycle of at least 10 sessions is recommended.

Using our Natural high quality products that prolong the beneficial effects of the therapy.
